What is in our Solar System?
Today we continued to learn about what is out there, beyond our sky. Having explored just how massive space is last week, today we explored just how tiny Earth is compared to the rest of the planets in our solar system.
We made scale models of the solar system using play-doh, working in halves and fifths. We were amazed to learn that over 90% of the planetary mass in the solar system is taken up by Jupiter and Saturn, with all the other 6 planets only being 8% of the total mass.
