Colour mixing in response to poetry

 





This week, Year 5 have been using acrylic paints to mix their own colours in response to the poem, Ghost in the Garden. They produced some wonderfully autumnal and earthly shades which will be used next week to collage in preparation for mono-printing the week after.

Planning our Fieldwork

One of the children brought in some memorabelia from Cowes including a plaque that was on the Blyskawica and an old photo from 1942.  This week, the children have planned the question they would like to answer about their local area as they will be heading into Cowes on Tuesday to collect their data.  Alongside this, the children were introduced to a risk assessment and taps a class they made a risk assessment for Tuesday. Such great ideas and discussions about risks and how we can keep ourselves safe when we go outside of school.
