Exploring primary sources from Sutton Hoo

This week, Year 5 have been (literally) piecing together evidence to find out more about the Anglo-Saxons. In teams, the children had to quickly unscramble and make sense of artefacts. They collaborated and communicated beautifully with the aim of figuring out what each object is and what it can tell us about the Anglo-Saxons. Then, each team was challenged to formally present their archaeological findings and theories to the finest 'Historians of Gurnard University'. I was so impressed with how well Year 5 worked together and explained their ideas. Super work, historians!
