Grow Gurnard

 This week, year 5 took part in the Grow Gurnard workshops. 

Year 5 were the last to take part and they added the missing ingredient - FUN. Together, they came up with ideas to make the site more exciting by designing the banner for the site as well as using pastels to create fruit for the gallery . The children really enjoyed taking part. A big thank you to Jane Popov for all her hard work.

Planning our Fieldwork

One of the children brought in some memorabelia from Cowes including a plaque that was on the Blyskawica and an old photo from 1942.  This week, the children have planned the question they would like to answer about their local area as they will be heading into Cowes on Tuesday to collect their data.  Alongside this, the children were introduced to a risk assessment and taps a class they made a risk assessment for Tuesday. Such great ideas and discussions about risks and how we can keep ourselves safe when we go outside of school.
