 The children have worked hard this week learning to write roman numerals as well as reading, writing and partitioning numbers to 10,000. 

In year 5, the children are expected to write their dates both in Roman numerals and numbers. Writing this everyday helps the children to become more familiar, confident and fluent. 

Over the first week, the children have enjoyed using place value counters, whiteboards, interactive boards and games to consolidate their understanding of numbers to 10,000. What a great week.
