Monotype prints and mark making

This half term we are studying mono printing. In our first two lessons we studied what mono printing is and looked at the work of Kevork Mourad, who employs mono printing in his work to explore Middle Eastern history and politics. We looked at mark making and replicated some of strategies used by famous artists. Next week, we will be making our first simple prints and exploring the work of Max Ernst and how he used the technique of frottage in his artwork.
