 Hawthorn Class were very lucky to have a visitor from Cowes Enterprise College. Niamph, who is studying for her EPQ, delivered an amazing workshop on affordable housing. She introduced the children to ideas and ways they can contribute to ensuring housing is affordable both in terms of buying, upkeep and bills. 

The children were introduced to different materials including real sheep fur. Finally, they were tasked with designing an affordable house but there was a catch. They had to try and find the cheapest way of building the house as well as designing a house that would be economical to heat. 

The children loved this activity and worked collaboratively in their teams. Thank you Niamph for your time and effort, we hope you do well in your EPQ.
