Reflection and Translation
This week, the children learnt the difference between reflection and translation. Using games, pictures and reasoning questions has helped the children to understand this.
Decimals
During this week, the children continued to increase their knowledge about decimals. This included rounding to the nearest whole and tenth. I have been amazed at how efficient the children are at converting decimals to fractions as well as writing the numbers correctly when a number is dictated to them. Towards the end of the week, the children have started to find add and subtract decimals using their place value knowledge.
